Keith Park Interview

This is an interview from 1961 with the Royal Air Force’s Air Chief Marshal Sir Keith Park.  He commanded the RAF in the only two aerial pitched battles in the European theatre during the Second World War, notably the Battle of Britain and the Battle of Malta.  He was victorious in both of these battles making him the RAF’s most successful fighter commander of all time.

In this interview he reveals the story behind his role in both battles. This includes an explanation of the tactics he used, these being somewhat different in each battle as, although the aim was the same, the circumstances were very different.

He also explains as to why the “Big Wing” theory would never have worked.

Please note: This interview is AUDIO ONLY.
